These days, as the number of 20-year-old CEOs has increased, the number of youth foundations has increased as well. Because of the high university tuition fees and the rise in highly educated people, youth foundations have turned out to be ideal places for 20-year-olds. While the media are constantly showing successful examples of youth foundations, there are many examples of such foundations that have gone downhill. In fact, the reality of youth foundations is very cruel and competitive. Let's find out they could succeed and what kind of preparation you should make before you start a foundation. Youth foundations produce a positive impact on our society. It can give young people jobs and a bright future for the country's economy. It remains that the foundations survival rate is very low.

This is because youth foundations have a problem: they cannot bring innovation and turn a profit at the same time to sustain the jobs. What kind of efforts is the government committing to make the youth foundation grows? First, the government tries to attract talented persons from rural areas through centers for creative economy and innovation and support them for setting up the operations and their commercialization. They also provide substantial help in equipment and office space for the youths who are starting a business to get their ideas implemented.

So, the government provides a lot of support to youth foundations to make them successful. However, many foundations do not take off. What should the government do to help and what kind of mental attitude should the young people develops to start a business.

A key reason why young people avoid starting a foundation is risk. In time of economic recession society puts safety first, and foundations are placed on the back burner. So, the government should not only focus on starting a business, but also on keeping supporting people who have started the foundation. Europe is famous for its high successful rate in establishing foundations. And the reason is that European governments not only focus on establishing the foundations themselves, but also help developing them and deal with risks. If the Korean government could continue supporting a foundation after it is created, the successful rate would rise in Korea.

Not only do they need government support to succeed, but also people should enlarge their vision and ambition and put themselves in the right mindset. People who start a foundation usually start with a good idea. And most of them will take pride in the idea they have come up with. But they should throw away their narrow-minded perspective and look at the idea with a bold vision. This could be the answer to a successful outcome. Also, it is important to participate in different competitions.

Lets see how Hannam University supports students who start a business. First, there is the experiencing job scheme. Experiencing job is a program giving students who major in society, humanities, entertainment and sports, and thus have less opportunity to excel in experiencing jobs, a chance to be a trainee in a enterprise for 1 to 3 months. This program is usually for sophomore and junior, and both the school and the company give money to support the students. Second is the organization of visits to small and medium size enterprises. This is a program that gives student a chance to visit the company themselves and find out what jobs they want and let them experience the job system. This program is free if you are over 15 and under 34 year old. Third, there is the youth foundation academy. The academy gives university student an education based on practical affairs. These are the three ways that Hannam University supports their students in starting a business.

A youth foundation can be a dream to a 20-year-old who is tired of getting ready for a job and study. However, the reality of youth foundations is quite harsh. So, to start a youth foundation, lots of efforts and preparation are needed. Also, to secure the success of these foundations, adequate support from the government is also needed. I hope that young people living in Korea does not decide to start a business lightly. I hope they prepare themselves thoroughly before starting a business and seek support from the government. They will thus help reboot Koreas economy.
