I once had experience of regretting the choice I did not make. I often think, “if I choose another choice, would my life and my character change?” Also, when I saw my friend succeed, I thought, “if I choose the same choice, would I succeed like her?” Whether I choose another way, I would have regretted. And sometimes we linger about the choice that we didn’t make. This movie does not show directly about regretting the choice they didn’t make but I can feel indirectly. I was sympathized with this movie because the main character was similar to me that he had to make his own choice about his like and feel regretted by the choice he did not make. Everyone might have regretted a choice that they didn’t make. Let us take a look at any mistake of choice in this movie.

In ‘youth we'll lose’ movie, there is girl whose name is Jung Wei. Jung Wei entered a university and spent a lot of time with Chen Xiaogheng as enemy because of misunderstanding. At some points, Jung Wei realizes that hate toward Chen Xiaogheng was actually love. Then Jung Wei starts to express her feelings to Chen Xiaogheng. So soon, they become a lovely couple. After their happy days, Chen Xiaogheng left Jung Wei to study in America for his better future. After a lot of time, Jung Wei and Chen Xiaogheng have been successful in their respective fields. But by accident, they met at the reunion and Chen Xiaogheng expresses his feelings toward Jung Wei that he wants to turn time back.

When Chen Xiaogheng expresses his minds toward Jung Wei, I feel that Chen Xiaogheng was similar to me. Chen Xiaogheng chooses his success above Jung Wei. And he has lingered toward Jung Wei. Even then, he was already late. I also choose blatant choice for my better life after ignoring what I want. When I realize I cannot turn back time, I realize what I want and I regret the choice that I made. As seeing Chen Xiaogheng in the movie, I think my actions was similar to Chen Xiaogheng and I gain the sympathy towards him. Chen Xiaogheng sobs and says, “my life is like a building which doesn’t collapse.” I was sad to hear Chen Xiaogheng’s words. He looks similar to my youth when I chose undesirable thing with all the pressure of doing everything perfect. It was painful at their break-up because I could understand Chen Xiaogheng’s feelings.

However, if I thought positively about their break-up and I thought it could be a memory of their college life. Pain also can be a memory in the course of time. What we acted hence we are youth is also a memory. The memory leaves sorrowful afterimage. Though it’s okay because we can embrace it by warm words like memories. Also, right at this moment it will be a memory and my youth to my future self. Let we embrace our lingering and do our best for right now. I cheer for people who do their best now. For people who are spending their college lives making choices that bring many changes to their lives, and for people who have lingering feelings about the rest of their choices, I would like to cheer them up. Don’t be discouraged by the wrong choice you made in the past. You are enough because of your existence. Whether you choose something, you already did lots of thing by only your existence.

Hannam students who see this article will have many choices from now on. But success and failure by choice will help our growth. Therefore, don't hesitate to choose because you have lingering about things you haven't chosen. I want to say that nothing matters in which choice you make, it's never a bad choice. At that moment, everyone made the best choice.
