How often have you listened to songs lately? Or how often do you use Internet streaming like YouTube? We have lived under the influence of various SNS and media in our lives. Recently, however, copyright issues have begun to emerge, which are the most sensitive and easily exposed to many people. Recently, various streaming sites tried to solve copyright problems by tightening regulations. Today we will find out what copyrights are and how we encounter them.

Before we talk about copyrights problems, What do you think of copyright ? Do you think it's the same concept as the portrait rights that occur when you take a photo of my face? These copyrights are a similar concept to the portraits just mentioned. Just as we take pictures of ourselves and we create copyrights which can not be used by others. In short, the copyright means that the creator's various rights to his or her creations are not transferable for a certain period of time. On the contrary, copyright is the use of copyrights as property, and these copyrights have the right to display copyrights. These copyrights can seem very complicated. However, it is an order to protect the rights of the creators. So let's look at what's going on these days about the copyrights.

How do you listen to music? Most people will use streaming sites such as Melon by paying a certain amount of money. Or you can access it as much as you want through video streaming such as YouTube. Do you happen to know that alll music is still copyrighted? Many people will probably say they know. So why wouldn't music streaming sites like Melon and video streaming sites violate copyright if I listened to them as much as I wanted? In the case of melons, we listen to music at a certain price, paying singers a certain amount of royalties. On YouTube, as copyright laws have recently been tightened, some music has been banned for copyright violations. However, there is no violation of copyright law, as these music is usually used to pay a certain amount of copyright fees and generate promotional effects.

So, why is copyright problematic? A variety of SNS apps have recently emerged. Typically called TIK TOC, which is a Chinese web site where various BGMs and songs, or the sounds of movies and dramas are used to make parodies, photos and videos. The BGM, various songs and sounds used in these programs are said to be in violation of copyright law, causing much controversy. In addition, many people download music on USB and share it with their friends, or download it illegally using sites such as the p2p file sharing site, or torrent.

It's not just music and videos. Do you have a computer at home? Recently, there are computers that are made with parts of their own performance, called prefabricated computers. The prefabricated computers are usually made by purchasing parts from small computer homes in different neighborhoods, not from the products of big companies such as Samsung and LG. Most local computer stores install unauthorized copies of Windows on their computers without using Windows genuine. These unauthorized copies of Windows will soon be activated. As a result, consumers who consume prefabricated computers spend expensive amounts of money to activate them. Copyright is not just a visible creation, but also a software on the computer.

As such, these copyrights are of great importance. It is copyright that can harm the creators, even if they create new creations, others can copy and use them illegally or without permission, and eventually harm the creators as well as the people who use them. This is the reason why copyright should be available. These copyright laws are in place to prevent second victims from using the creator's work without knowing it. Then let's look at the last way to protect copyright.Typically, there are government-run public-nuri sites. Free copyrights are available on the public stream, which are legally available. In addition, YouTube has tightened copyright regulations, preventing various YouTube creators from using BGM or songs without permission, while various video streaming platforms have begun to tighten regulations such as YouTube.

What do you think? Should there be or should not there be such a complex copyright? Recently, there are areas where attention has slowly begun to fade from Korean society. It's art. Such art is becoming less and less popular in Korea. No matter how much you create, your work often get copied. I personally think that these copyrights are necessary and should increase copyright fees and tighten regulations. So that more people, especially those who are artists, now feel that they are well-fed. Wouldn't it be necessary to recognize and protect the rights of the creators and pay royalties to respect their works by preventing unauthorized copying? Minimum consideration for creators, copyright, and we look forward to keeping these copyrights right so that more creators can also become creative and correct societies with more new creations.
