One-on-one admission counselling held

The admissions department organized a one-on-one admission counseling in Seosan cafe on August 26. One hundred students, parents and high school teachers participated in this event. It was held at a café to make the consultation more comfortable. Hannam University followed up with a consultation at a café in Daejeon on 29th August then one at a Cheonana café on 9th September.

 

 

 

Hannam University ranks 44th nationwide

A Korean enterprise-branding agency analyzed consumer perception and big data (more 920 items). Looking at the reputation of 100 major universities across the country, Hannam University came in 44th place. In addition, our school was ranked number one among private universities in the Chungcheong Province.

 

 

 

Seonam University takeover discussions

Daejeon Christian Academy held a second meeting on August 24 to discuss the takeover of the Seonam University. They have reported the results of this consultation. The university committee in charge of the dossier decided to activate the procedure. It found out the support of the Jesuit Elders’ Association was needed.

 

LINC+ project’s community cooperation.

Our university is focusing on the development of a community through cooperation with the wartime autonomous region. The LINC + enterprise participated in the “15th summer night festival” held on August 26 in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon City. It featured a science experiment booth (drone exhibition, mathematics festival) aimed to target top local middle and high school students. LINC + companies received positive reviews for developing and expanding the autonomy of local communities and residents through collaboration with civic centers.

 

13 Years After School’s Graduating Ceremony

Our university held the 2016 graduation ceremony (its 55th) on August 18th. The ceremony brought together 625 alumni, and awarded 15 doctorates, 115 master’s degrees, 471 bachelor’s degrees and 24 public recognitions. Everyone who attended the graduation ceremony came on stage to receive a diploma from the university president. In addition, the university gave gifts and photos of graduation ceremony for free.

 

2017 Glocal multiple culture stepping-stone English camp

The GMLP project leader announced on August 31 that the ‘2017 Glocal multiple culture stepping-stone English camp’ was held for children of multicultural families in Ota City during the summer vacation. The English camp took place July 26-28. College students and office workers residing in the United States participated in the camp as staff member and it received a lot of interest. The head of the business division said: “This camp helped students from multicultural families recover self-esteem and take advantage of the strength of dual identity to develop talents needed in the globalization era.”
